Debate on the French presidential elections (2017)

Basic information

This projects seeks to engage, in the first place, students who learn French - students of French as a Foreign Language OR native speakers of French from all around the world - to discuss on the French presidential elections in April 2017.

The main aim is to imply the different parties in an intercultural exhange on their understanding of this crucial election in the aftermath of Brexit, the American elections, the Austrian elections, etc.

I am counting on this project to help our students develop their intercultural awareness and of course their written and oral skills. The material that will be used will be press articles from France but also from other countries, audio documents, video extracts, etc...

Depending on who is responding to this message first, I will try and adjust in terms of class level (I've got three possible groups in mind: 2 groups of Bachelors degree in Culture and communication (French) and one group of Masters degree.

We are counting on this project to give a bit more visibility to our small but active department of French, here in Århus (Culture City 2017). I am myself a native from France.
