The Eportfolio and assessment resources are designed to be an adaptable tool for teacher, self or peer assessment. It is recommended that you choose all/parts of the resources that best fit your needs and context. For example, as a teacher you may choose to focus on only one domain of competences in the descriptors and write a corresponding assessment grid for final assessment of your students based on observation of the exchange. Or, you might prefer to negotiate with your students which competences they will work on and then ask them to provide ‘evidence’ from their online exchange of those competences. As an individual learner you can decide which competences you want to or need to work on and regularly link them to evidence from your online exchanges. This can be complemented with your personal reflection diary. Ideally, all the features are used together, in a circular fashion: the descriptors are used to set goals, the goals are linked to evidence and reflection and these are then evaluated in a grid based on the descriptors.
