I am looking for one or more partner classes for a Virtual Exchange project in the autumn semester of 2018 based on the model of Competences for Democratic Culture which has recently been developed by the Council of Europe (https://www.coe.int/en/web/education/competences-for-democratic-culture)
My class will be a group of high B2 Spanish students of English studies and I would like to engage them in a 8 week exchange based on an intercultural project work around a current socio-political theme such as the refugee crisis, sexism in modern society, European identity etc. The theme and the tasks used in the exchange can be negotiated based on the partner classes involved.
The exchange would run from October to December 2018 and it would be very positive if the partner classes were free for occasional skype sessions on Wednesday mornings. The exchange could run in English or in English and Spanish. In order to ensure a high level of student participation, partner teachers would be expected to dedicate a percentage of the students' final grade to their work in the project and also be willing to discuss the exchange with students during some of their classes.
